Robbie Burns Supper
Our friend Dan has visited Scottland and we wanted to see his pictures which lead to Gabe finding out that The Scottish poet Robert Burns was born on Jan. 25 and people all over the world celebrate with a Burns Supper. So we did too. Gabe made aleekie soup, neeps, tadies, and cranachan for desert. That translates as chicken and leak soup, tournips, mashed potatoes, and granola with cream and rasberries. It was really good. We read Burns poems, saw Dan's slides of Scottland and heard so many amazing, historic stories. These four men wore the traditional kilts (home made by Trish) and don't they look dashing?

Arizona snow
Monday morning was a snow day. One friend said it's the first time they saw snow this far south in 16 years! Mt. Lemmon always gets snow. Maybe now our kids won't beg us to drive up there (fat chance). My crazy kids even bounced on our trampoline (with socks on) on top of a layer of frozen snow ice. What can I say, they don't know the proper snow etiquette.
